New LCD Soundsystem album!!

After what seems like an eternity and a half, finally one of my favorite dance bands ever has released another album! LCD Soundsystem is one of those bands that is almost impossible not to like, the lead singer James Murphy has an awesome smoked-too-many-cigarettes and entirely-too-hungover-to-sing type of voice that, mixed with the pleasurable beats, chks, and guitar riffs, forms an overall fantastic disco punk electro sound that never gets old.
How many times have I requested "North American Scum"? Too many to admit that I myself am North American. How about my dirty obsession with "Us vs Them"? Hard to replace.
But after 3 years of listening to "Sound of Silver" (2007) almost every time I'm trying to pump myself up for a wild party night, (Justice's "Cross" also works nicely), I started to ask myself, when will they have more?
My prayers have been answered.
"This Is Happening", was released this month to stores worldwide, and lemme tell ya, it's a happening record. Definitely just as amazing, if not better than the other two albums.
And one of my favorite parts about the new stuff, as is a growing trend these days, the band has some awesome videos for the singles located on their website, or on youtube, or on your friend's facebook pages. Quite funny to watch, (though I'm slightly worried James is secretly a masochist). Hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

Can you believe its already been a whole year of great music, late nights, ballads sung, vinyls spun, drinks drunk, toilets hugged, and Rockers made happy from the greatness that is Roxy Rocker?

We're proud that our little Roxy baby is having its most happy and important birthday yet. And of course you know what that means, PARTY!! PARTY!! PARTY!!

From June 15th to June 20th as soon as you enter Rocker,
1. Open the door, get a special shot of Tequila for free to clear your throat and your mind.
2. Then march up to the counter, grab a menu and order your favorite drink ( for half price!! ) .
3. Ask the DJ to play your favorite song (as long as they agree, after all, they are the masters of the music machine of Rocker and have full rights), Sing your heart out with your rocker brothers and sisters and throw on a little air guitar!

Doors open at 9. Doors shut after 4. The music stays on forever.
